I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

Sew O Caftan, My Caftan*

Materials required:-

3/4 yd (0.7m) contrast fabric

2yd (1.8m) main fabric

7/8 yd(0.8m) Bias binding (to match contrast fabric. Use either 12mm(1/2") or 25mm(1") wide.)
