I made three of these dresses, because they look more complicated to make than they really are. This is black linen with a bit of sashiko stitching - cool to wear in summer or over a tee shirt when the temperatures go down.

Stitch gap closed and topstitch

Starting at top notch, stitch close to edge ( at about 2- 3 mm or 1/16th inch) to close gap. Continue sewing all the way round the garment 'til you're back where you started stitching.
